The Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association (TBBA) is dedicated to supporting bankruptcy attorneys and trustees practicing throughout Southeast Virginia. Our mission is to promote excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law, foster professional engagement within the bankruptcy community, and enhance the exchange of information among attorneys, trustees, the bankruptcy courts, and the public.

TBBA is a voluntary association composed of bankruptcy attorneys and trustees who regularly practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

We are committed to advancing the professionalism of our members through meaningful opportunities for education and connection. Each year, TBBA hosts multiple luncheons and a holiday social, providing members with opportunities to build both professional and personal relationships. In addition, we offer an annual full-day seminar—typically held in February—featuring continuing legal education (CLE) credits on a wide range of bankruptcy-related topics to keep our members informed of developments and best practices in the field.
